LightLab has three main areas of activity
A philosophy is held by LightLab personnel that the true role of the Laboratory is to be a facilitator of expertise and development in the worldwide Lighting Industry. LightLab's zone of interest stretches around the globe.
Our approach is to be the technical arm of the client during the time in which we are involved with a project. However the Client is always given every opportunity to actively take part in the consultative and developmental aspects involved. Every project has the potential of involving equal partners in a bilateral process.
We aim to provide the Client with the expertise of the staff, and the necessary equipment that is maintained to International Standards traceable to the Australian Government's CSIRO National Measurement Laboratory, while at the same time continually reviewing, monitoring and updating measuring techniques and processes.
LightLab maintains the policy that the laboratory will undertake any form of testing that may be requested within its sphere of competency. When NATA endorsement is requested by the client, testing undertaken shall be performed in accordance with the methods and terms of registration listed by NATA for the laboratory. All testing not requiring NATA endorsement shall be conducted either in accordance with a recognised specification, or otherwise by close consultation with the client. In the latter case, the client will be made aware of the limitations and significance of the results obtained.
The continuing development of the LightLab laboratory facilities is constantly under review, in order to investigate ways of achieving shorter turn around times, greater accuracy, and quality results for our Clients.
