A100 Automotive Goniophotometer

The A100 is a fully computerised precision auto-goniometer for measurement of automotive, marine, railway and aviation signalling devices together with conventional floodlights. Primarily developed for the automotive industry, the A100 has an angular resolution of better than 0.001° for both turntable and tilt arm axes.

The system is controlled by a standard computer running Microsoft Windows. The A100 can support samples up to a mass of 20kg while maintaining the stated accuracy. It can test automotive headlights, taillights, turn indicators, stop lights etc. Standard options include

Hand Controller

During setup of the test luminaire or lamp, all functions of the photometer are available via a dedicated hand controller. This includes alignment laser power, mirror and luminaire rotation and luminaire raising/lowering. The ease of operation yields excellent repeatability of laboratory results.

Photocell

The Si-photovoltaic thermally stabilised photocell with high accuracy V-lambda correction using the full filter method. Colour response accuracy (F'1), including spectral reflectance of the mirror is better than 1% and comes complete with spectral response certificate. For accurate measurements the photocell has been selected for its low noise, high speed and exceptionally low drift performance.

Integrated Instrumentation

Measurement of lamp and ballast electrical and thermal characteristics go hand in hand with distribution photometry. All instruments used are of the finest quality available and are completely computer controlled.

Software

All software supplied with the A100 system is fully Windows based and professional reports can be produced within minutes of completion of test.
